About Teetersaw

Since its initial inception as a line of quirky greeting cards in 2001, Teetersaw® has grown rapidly and now includes a range of eccentric and comedic yet completely loveable plush toys that have developed a cult following.

Under the direction and creativity of its founder, the famed illustrator Jennifer Rapp Peterson, the Teetersaw® brand has grown leaps and bounds and shows no sign of slowing down.

Due to the company’s critical success and high consumer demand for Jennifer’s own single panel cartoons, Mishappies™, the company subsequently expanded its lines of out-of-the-box stylistic greeting cards to include the popular Selfish Kitty™ and Kitty's Muse™, helping to solidify the brand’s reputation in the niche market.

In the fall of 2008 Teetersaw® branched out again, this time with two new collections of plush toys, The Tuckins® and Food Chain Friends®. Truly reflecting Jennifer’s off-the-wall humor and curious creativity, the outer-worldly creatures in each series are quite peculiar but too snuggly to resist.

In cooperation with manufacturer Pint Size Productions, Teetersaw® plush properties are available at fine retailers worldwide, with The Tuckins® and Food Chain Friends® launching the in July 2008. Teetersaw’s custom illustrations also appear in a slew of children’s books, gift books and greeting cards. With their custom licensing program, Teetersaw® can work with various groups to create new characters and designs.

Founder Jennifer Rapp Peterson

Inventor of Cult Characters with Imperfect Tendencies

A non-traditional artist with a twist of quirky ironic funk, Jennifer Rapp Peterson made an indelible mark with her first collection of humorous greeting cards launched under her own businesses Pulp Couture, Inc. and Teetersaw®, Inc.

Her appreciation of out-of-the-box thinking and talent for comically tapping into the less obvious side of humor has brought her great success in the development of humorous gift and toy products.

As a famed illustrator, Jennifer’s work appeared in seven books for Sterling and Chronicle. Additionally, she was a cartoonist formerly represented by Tribune Media Services for licensing. Jennifer’s talents are widespread but easily enjoyed by many proven by her mark on numerous children’s books, gift books and several lines of greeting cards worldwide.

Since selling Pulp Couture and two of her greeting card properties, Selfish Kitty™ and Kitty’s Muse™, Jennifer has secured licensing deals for a number of her brands. The fall of 2008 brings a particularly exciting development in her creative distribution with the launch of her first toy collections, The Tuckins® and Food Chain Friends®. Both new toy lines are fun and furry friends that hold true to Jennifer’s strong sense of irony and off-the-beaten-path humor.

When not buzzing at the drawing table with quirky ideas and colorful characters, this reformed high school class clown and night owl enjoys time at home with her husband Jonathan and her two young children who keep her on her toes and never cease to inspire. Currently residing in the quiet town just north of Chicago, Jennifer can often be found with her family reading, writing, drawing and making stuff up.
